We wanted to reach out and say Merry Christmas from the Michelutti’s!!

This year…..this past 5 years have been unusual to say the least, but there has been one constant that we are always reminded of during this time of year; and that is the love of family and friends.

Every year we host a staff Christmas party to say thank you and unwind. (Of course we didn’t take a picture!)

This year was special because our staff surprised us with a humerus rendition of the 12 days of Christmas which highlighted our “TV series worthy day to day work life”; and a spa weekend getaway package to say thank you to Peter and I. We were blown away!

We were so overwhelmed with love and gratitude; the tears just came. To have a staff that would get together and do something so thoughtful is just so amazing. We are so blessed to have such a great work life…we wanted to publicaly share our surprise and just shout it from the rooftops!!!

Our family has been in business for over 35 years and we have seen the good times and the bad- but what keeps us going is the great people we work with.

To all our people- you are friends without conditions, we are warriors in renovations, and you are always there to share a laugh.

We couldn’t be happier! Merry Christmas and Happy New year!!

Our Story....

It all started when my father in law said, “Why don’t we start selling windows, doors, and kitchens.” That was the summer of 2017. Flash forward to today....

Peter and I opened a store called, ‘Home & Haven Design Studio’, right beside our other family business, ‘End of the Roll’ on Barrydowne Road in Sudbury, Ontario. It has been a whirlwind since!

We have had a blast renovating both stores and setting up the space to be attractive and comfortable for our customers. From planning to re-planning, to starting over again, we think we got it! We designed a fluid space between the two stores so that customers could pick their favorites from Home & Haven and then walk on through to the End of the Roll for their flooring.

We also spent a lot of time thinking about what people would need and want to complete their home renovations and new builds and then.... the light went on!.... We decided to sell windows, doors, kitchens, blinds and shutters, tiles, natural stone, and more! Everyone needs these components for their home, and what better complement to the flooring next door?

It makes sense. A one stop shop with a real life Pinterest experience and boutique feel. I love it! Personally, when I dream my space, I want to shop at a place where I feel comfortable to think about my ideas and really plan and edit my vision free from geographical restrictions from hopping store to store. We have created such a mecca, and we couldn’t be happier!

We have designed each section to have an area where you can lay out plans and samples to see what your selection could look like before committing. We sourced out back splashes that are so unique and interesting, and complemented those with kitchen lines that would grant any culinary wish. And I can’t forget about the windows and doors! They are beautiful! With so many colour options and features, you could really customize your home starting at your entry way right up to your master bedroom look out.

During this whole process, I have had some fun dreaming. I love picking my entry way door, my cupboard profiles and accents, my back splash, fireplace ledger stone, and everything else. But that dream is never complete without my flooring. I would just walk on through and grab my flooring samples from the End of the Roll, and ‘bing bang boom’, I have a beautiful picture of what someone’s house could look like. Did I mention we have custom wood staining/stairs and railings? Literally, we got it covered.
