Great work on our free pattern! 🙏

Here is a cozy fall feeling piece I recently finished. I will have it at the next event I'm vending at Chaparral Highschool on Halloween (I should have some more smaller spooky pieces too 🦇👻.)
This pattern is by Lucent Glass and Art, the "cozy quilt" 💛
I'm always a fan of geometric designs so it's been on my list to do for a while now.

Soldering compilation 💥 three tips for better soldering

Your soldering is only as good as your foiling

Every step builds on the next. Your foil follows the shape of your glass, and your solder follows the foil. Apply foil evenly for consistent solder lines, using different foil widths for thin and thick glass. Our hand foilers can help make this easier.

2. Flux matters

Flux removes oxides from the foil and helps solder flow smoothly. If your solder isn’t flowing well, add more flux. It comes in liquid, gel, and paste forms. We’ve had great success with Classic 100 gel flux!

3. Treat yo’ self — get the good iron

A quality soldering iron can make a huge difference. 60/40 solder melts around 375°F, while stained glass irons typically maintain around 700°F for smooth solder flow. A good iron provides consistent heat and makes achieving clean solder lines much easier. Popular choices include the Hakko FX-601 and Weller 100-watt iron.
