Cayden has been working next door at the Cast Away Cafe this summer and stopped by the gallery last week to take some time to check out some of Steve Wright’s work on display. 🖼️💕

Now we want to know… what do you think Cayden is thinking?

Is he admiring the artwork, trying to decide which one is his favourite, or already planning to go home and create his own masterpiece? 🎨

Or maybe he’s wondering if he can convince Steve to give him a discount. 😂

The gallery is closed today and tomorrow as we move into our September hours, but we’ll be back open Wednesday through Sunday.

Starting tomorrow, we’ll be rolling back our Summer Gallery hours to five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday, for the month of September.

A big thank you to everyone who has visited and supported the gallery throughout the summer, and especially to those who came out on Mondays and Tuesdays as we tried opening those days for the first time this year!

With the Waterfront Wednesday Tides & Tunes concerts now wrapped up, we’ll also be making a slight adjustment to our Wednesday hours.

September Gallery Hours:
🎨 Wednesday–Friday: 11 AM–6 PM
🎨 Saturday: 10 AM–6 PM
🎨 Sunday: 11 AM–4 PM
🚪 Monday & Tuesday: Closed

Our September hours will be staffed by our members and artists, giving you an even better opportunity to meet some of the artists behind the work while you visit!

Andrea Pottyondy’s paintings capture the changing colours and moods of the coast, from soft blues and layered skies to bright pops of colour along the horizon. 🎨🌊

ArtWorks East will be hitting the road next weekend to visit with the Richmond Artists Alliance members and explore their gallery! Members from RAA were down visiting our gallery a couple of weeks ago. It was great connecting with them and their members and we look forward to seeing them again on September 5th! ☺️🎨💕

After our road trip to ArtWorks East in Guysborough, some of their members are coming to our gallery Saturday September 5. They'll be arriving around 11 am and we'll have lunch at the Island Nest at 1 pm. Any members—not just gallery exhibitors, that is—who want to come by the gallery to chat them up please do.
