We made it through Thanksgiving ‘26!

We were really proud of all the bakes…the dinner rolls?! Chefs kiss 🤌🏻… they will be back for Christmas.

Our newest team member H A L E Y G O O D A L E turns out is quite the photographer and had some really great shots, but they were deleted accidentally, it was so sad!

Anyways, here are some pix from our work this week. All shot with an iPhone 10.. I call it “anti AI content” 🤭

On the horizon, you’ll find our Autumn Herb loaf return to the menu again.

Basil, Parsley, Sage, Oregano, Thyme are all getting stripped from the beds and processed to make room for a year’s worth of garlic!

Haldimand County, it’s such a beautiful place to be in the fall.

Ooops is it September, wait almost October?!

Ouuu that good ol’ breeze came through the last couple of days to really let us know that summer is over with. Every year, it’s a reminder that we can finally catch our breath and get some reprieve, after working many long days in the dog heat. Thanksgiving will be busy and then a much needed slow down until the wildness of Christmas begins.
Over the weekend, we stripped the garden beds down and got the last of the peppers and tomatoes. The herbs will last until the end of November and we intend to sn**ch every single last leaf to throw into our pastry, scones, loaves and focaccias. Always so sad to lose all the beautiful seasonal fruit, veg and goodness that southwestern Ontario has to offer over the spring and summer months.

Ahhh but we did snag some really good peaches from Matz to last us a while for our scones, then you will find Pumpkin Spice until the end of October. Along with Pumpkin Spice bread, muffins, biscotti and maybe some others. We will do so much pumpkin you’ll be begging for it to end, hehe 🤭!

All this to say, so much has been good despite the hectic days and it continues to be so good for us over here. We have eternally grateful hearts for all of our loyal customers. This crazy converted garage operation is ever expanding and new horizons are upon us that we are bursting with excitement to share with you all. So stay tuned, because we will finally let you in on something that has been in the works for almost 3 years!

Well it's Back to School week! 🍎 Fall vibes with summer weather, just how we like it! Our regular market season continues until October 7th. Make sure you come visit us while you can.

We are loving our great selection of produce, baked goods, meats, spices, soaps, prepared dips and canning, coffee and flowers! It's really a one-stop shopping experience.

Remember, the market runs rain or shine, and we are protected by the market pavillion. Support local, hand-made and home-grown!

Thursday is here—and we busted open a loaf of Leaven to Loaf Bakehouse jalapeño cheddar bread! 🌶️🧀🍞

Add a fried egg and a generous pile of our house-made pickled red onions and…oh my goodness. YUM. 😋

Sometimes the simplest things are the very best things.

Coffee is on, the café is open, and Thursday is looking mighty delicious!
