One of the things I said about my business very early on in its journey was that I wouldn’t hire anyone until I could pay them living wage.

Living wage is something both me and my partner feel very strongly about. For us, minimum wage 𝘪𝘴 and 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 living wage.

So when you support Fia Fia, you’re not only supporting the lives and dreams of two small business owners, but you’re supporting the lives and dreams of their employees as well 🫶 And supporting small businesses ensures that those small businesses can pay their employees fairly.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - we all vote with our dollar. Who we choose to support creates more of a ripple effect than we could ever know.

And speaking of supporting small businesses, this gorgeous sticker was designed by , who makes beautiful prints, buttons, stickers, textiles, and more! ✨

It’s been a little over a month in our new location and we couldn’t be happier!

If you didn’t know, our new shop was designed and built from scratch by our very own Cameron Roberts, co-owner of Fia Fia 🧶

This means that every single piece of hardwood, plywood, trim, baseboard, everything - was planed, joined, cut, built, and stained by Cameron.

You can see as you scroll through the photos that our space at richmondyards started as just a concrete and glass box, and became what it is today through Cameron’s tireless effort over the course of three months. I’m so happy and proud to have a partner like him, and Fia Fia would not exist as it does without him 🫶

Thank you to everyone who has come by to see the new location so far. To everyone who has given their compliments to Cameron for his beautiful work. To everyone who has supported us and who continue to support us. You have quite literally made our dreams a reality ❤️

We’re officially open at richmondyards! 🎉

This new version of the shop is truly a dream come true for us, and not pictured here are all the friends and family who helped our vision come to life 🫶

Friendly reminder that our LAST DAY in our original Summit St location is this Sunday August 9th!

After that, we’ll be closing for a week to move, and reopening in our new location on Saturday August 15th ✨

This little blue house has served us well over the past (almost) 4 years 🥲 it feels bittersweet but we’re definitely ready for this change! Make sure to come say one last goodbye to the original Fia Fia this weekend 🥹🫶

We’re so very excited to be adding Biches & Bûches to our brand lineup 🥹🫶

We’re bringing in Le Petite Lambswool (fingering/sport), Le Lambswool (DK), and Le Gros Lambswool (worsted/aran) - for our grand reopening at our new location in richmondyards on August 15th!

All these yarns are made from the first shearing of fleece from lambs raised all over Scotland and England. It’s the softest cut from a sheep that you can get. The yarn is then milled in Scotland using traditional spinning equipment and techniques.

If you love real wool, and you know how special lambswool is, this is definitely the yarn for you ❤️

Available in-store at the opening of our new location on Saturday August 15th, or online the following Monday 17th ✨
