2nd War medal group to a former member of the Princess Louise Fusiliers. He fought in Italy and was captured and did time as POW in Bavaria. No pay book but discharge certificate and some pictures as well as the regimental history in which he is listed as serving as a POW. Great little local find. Some new arrivals today into the shop! Two Second War Canadian helmets, both have camo nets and one has its original burlap camo as well. Also an excellent condition German Lieutenants transport troops tunic with loops for an award and a ribbon bar. Unfortunately unnamed. A couple of new pick ups today. A First War 25th Battalion visor and a daily diary to 44th Battalion soldier. No name in the visor unfortunately. Diary is named to 622502 Sargent Harry Vare, 44th Battalion. While his previous address is listed as the UK his attestation papers list previous service in the 90th Winnipeg R***es. Comes with a couple of photos of his buddies. An interesting little time capsule. Even comes with the original pencil he used to make the entries. Soon to be popped on the website.

Just arrived in the shop. A set of black leather pants and jacket produced for the Kriegsmarine. Jacket is dated 1942 and the pants are dated 1941. They are a perfect match. Smaller sizing. Jacket is eagle “M” marked as shown in the pics. Used by crew members on surface vessels as well as Uboat crews. Also famously used by 12th SS Hi**er Jugend Division in Normandy. Overall condition is excellent. Barely used condition. An excellent addition to Kriegsmarine collection. Just need a navy schiffchen or visor to jazz it up. www.prospectofwhitbyantiques.com
