Last weekend was a busy one. Friday we went out with pizza, panzerottis, snacks and water.
Saturday was cold cut wraps, snacks and water.
Both days there was lots of talk, laughs and prayers.
We are still looking for heavy blankets. If you have any that are not needed, we can put them to good use.
Blessings

Over the past couple of weekends, we’ve had the privilege of getting out on the streets and spending time with our friends.

Two Sundays ago, we went out around supper time with sandwiches, water, and those homemade cookies that had been requested over and over again. Let’s just say… the cookies were a hit! 🍪❤️

We had so many meaningful conversations and opportunities to pray with people. One of our friends was having a particularly difficult day, so we spent quite a bit of time sitting with him under the subway—listening, talking, and praying together. By the time we left, he was in much better spirits. Thank you, Jesus! 🙏

Last Saturday, we took a stab at making chicken enchiladas, and I must say, they turned out really well! They were greatly appreciated, and once again, we were blessed with many conversations, prayers, and opportunities to simply be there for people. ❤️

We’ve also had some requests for heavy blankets, as the nights are beginning to cool down. If you have any heavy blankets that you would like to donate, we would certainly appreciate them. They will go directly to people who need them.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support what we do. Every meal, every donation, every prayer, and every conversation makes a difference.

Have a blessed weekend! 🙏❤️

Thank you for helping us help others.@

Our street friends have been asking for cookies, so we spent the day baking cookies. These will be dessert when we hit the streets for tomorrow's supper.

Saturday was another busy and blessed day as we headed out onto the streets in the afternoon to hand out fresh pizza wheels, water and snacks

What made this outreach especially meaningful is how the Lord faithfully provided everything we needed over a period of three months through the generosity of many different people. First came the pizza sauce, then the pepperoni, followed by the hamburger. Next came the pizza dough, then the cheese, and finally the pizza boxes and pans. Piece by piece, God supplied every ingredient and every item needed to make this outreach possible.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed. Your generosity helped us prepare these meals and bless so many people.

As we spent time on the streets, we quickly realized just how hot the afternoon had become. After handing out the pizza wheels, we returned to our church, picked up some Mr. Freezies, and headed back out to share those as well.

Along the way, we had some wonderful conversations with new friends and had the opportunity to reconnect with others we’ve come to know over the past few years. We were reminded of many special moments we’ve shared together.

It truly was a blessed day. There were countless smiles, warm hugs, heartfelt conversations, and prayers shared. We are so thankful for every opportunity the Lord gives us to serve and to remind others that they are seen, valued, and loved.

Thank you for helping us help others. May God continue to bless each and every one of you.

Friday was another good day on the streets. It was pizza day.
We had a lot of people that just needed someone to talk to. Seemed to be a lot on their minds Friday.
We also had the opportunity to speak extensively to a couple of workers from one of the shelters. They gave us some good information on what they feel is needed for our street friends.
Thank you Jesus !!

Over the past three years, we’ve been blessed to serve countless meals to our friends on the streets. Every meal has been an opportunity to show God’s love in a practical way.

This past Monday, however, was one of those mornings we’ll never forget.

We had the privilege of partnering with our friends at Rahab’s Refuge to serve an early breakfast. We offered cereal with fresh milk, banana chocolate chip muffins, yogurt, protein drinks, apple juice, and water.

The response was overwhelming.

While everything was appreciated, the simple gift of fresh milk with a bowl of cereal seemed to bring the biggest smiles. It’s a humbling reminder that what many of us consider ordinary can be a real blessing to someone else.

Because we were out early, we also had the opportunity to slow down and spend time talking with people. Those conversations allowed us to introduce Rahab’s Refuge to women who had never heard about the drop in Center and to encourage others who had visited before to stop in again.

God did what only He can do.

We are incredibly grateful to Dawson Settlement Baptist Church for generously donating most of what made this breakfast possible. Your faithful support continues to make a real difference in the lives of those we serve. Thank you for helping us help others.

Most of all, we thank our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Every meal served, every conversation shared, every smile, and every open door is because of His faithfulness. To Him alone belongs all the praise, all the honour, and all the glory.

We have a had a busy past few weeks on the streets. We have been handing out lots of pizza, various sandwiches, bottles and bottles of water, cookies, muffins, cannolis and snacks.
We have been doing some Saturdays which allows Joanne to get out more. Our friends have been very happy to be able to talk to her and have her pray with them.
A good news story from the streets is that we have talked to a half dozen or so people that have been on the streets since we began going out 3 years ago, that is finally getting housing over the next month or two.
Thank you Jesus !!
