This time last year we were dealing with a gnarly hoof abscess that lasted months.
You finally agreed to let it soak, you had adamantly refused Epsom salt soaks all the other years it appeared, somehow that abscess was scheduled to come back every July.
We even had X-rays done last fall and while waiting a week for a second opinion thoughts of losing you were running rampant.
This year you did not get the abcess because I cut out all fillers, soy etc., with the CPL feed protocol and your recurring owies from 2017 (and probably before that) disappeared as well.
You taught me so much beautiful boy.
