Flying Magnolia Metaphysical Studio

Flying Magnolia Metaphysical Studio My name is Patricia, for the normier and Lady Morgana for my spiritual friends. More than a weeks holiday was needed to recover from this. The F. The L.

I am the sole creator of FLYing Magnolia Metaphysical Studio (All Things Witchy) that has now grown to include a Mystical Wardrobe selection. After working 27 years in the nursing field, with 12 hour rotating shifts, I burnt out. It took roughly a year and a have before I no longer felt exhausted. This experience taught me that self care was more than pampering yourself with a spa day or enjoying

a quiet afternoon. Even though these types a pampering do make you feel good, this feel good feeling is on the surface. Self care starts on the inside and needs to work its way to the surface. I, as a person had to re learn my feelings and emptions before I was able to understand them. Answering why I had triggers and what caused them. Once these types of questions could be answered, it was then that I was able to understand them. Once I understood them, they no longer become triggers. When I reached this point at the 2 year mark, I was then able to start to work on myself as a whole. My new motto is to make sure my jug is always full and overflowing. I learned that if my jug was only have full and I gave to others, What was left for me. When I finally admitted/forced to see that I was burnt out my jug was bone dry. There was nothing left in my jug as I had given it all away. I than began to think that as long as I had water in my jug, I was able to give. Again I was wrong in this thinking. My jug needs to be full for me to function at 100%. It is only with the overflow from my jug that I can give to others and continue to give to others. This was when the idea of FLYing Magnolia was create. stands for First. stands for Love
The Y stands for Yourself. First Love Yourself. Magnolia is the first tree that blooms in the spring and in the right situation will bloom a second time in the fall. The studio represents my loving myself first to be able to give to others and the Magnolia represents me being in the right situation to bloom a second time.

In Appalachian folklore, storms were often seen as more than weather — they were messages, warnings, or living forces moving through the mountains.

Thunder rolling across the hollers was said to wake spirits, stir old magic, and remind folks that the mountains were older than anything man could build.

Many Appalachian families believed:
Leaving a broom on the porch during a storm could keep bad spirits from entering the home.
Thunderstorms after dark were “haint weather,” when restless spirits wandered more freely.
Some hung iron, bells, or horseshoes near doors to protect the house from lightning and unwanted energy.

Lightning striking close to home was sometimes viewed as a warning to pay attention to the spiritual world around you.

Rainwater gathered during a thunderstorm was believed by some folk practitioners to hold powerful cleansing or protective energy.

There’s also an old mountain belief that when storms roll through the fog-covered ridges, the mountains are “speaking back” — carrying whispers from ancestors, spirits, and the wild itself.

“Appalachian storms don’t just pass through the mountains… they wake them.”

The Morrígan is not just a goddess of war, she is the force behind its outcome. In Irish myth, she moves before battle, during it, and after it often as a crow watching from above, marking the dead before they fall.

In the Táin Bó Cúailnge, she approaches Cú Chulainn and offers him her support. When he refuses, she doesn’t argue, she shifts.
She returns as a heifer, an eel, a wolf interfering in battle, testing him, weakening him. Not through open combat, but through pressure, timing, and inevitability.

Later, she appears again unrecognised.
An old woman at the edge of the path.
And when he accepts her offering, he unknowingly restores what he once damaged. This is how she works.
Not through force but through control.

She is also tied to sovereignty the land itself.
To be chosen by her was to rule.
To reject her was to fall. The Morrígan does not need to fight. She stands at the threshold where fate is decided,
and watches as it unfolds.

They still go looking for her in New Orleans.
At the tomb. In the quiet corners. In the places where offerings are still left like she never truly left.

Marie Laveau wasn’t just known—she was sought out. People came to her for protection. For healing. For justice when the world didn’t give it.

She worked with herbs. With prayer. With spirit.

They say she made gris-gris—small, powerful bundles carried for protection, luck, and influence.
She knew how to cleanse what didn’t belong. How to call in what was needed. How to stand between someone and what meant them harm.

She moved between worlds in a way most people don’t understand—deeply rooted in faith, and just as deeply connected to something older. Not performance. Not something to show. Work done with intention. With precision. With results people could feel. That’s why they trusted her. That’s why they still go. Because power like that doesn’t disappear. It settles into the ground. Into the walls. Into the hands of those who recognize it when they feel it.
