Stay grinding!!!

Been a busy month for shields. This one man marathon turned out over 30 shields. All hand made.

Lots of late night dying and swearing sessions, early morning painting and swearing sessions, even early evening vinyl work and swearing sessions.

In the last 2 months TLX firefighter gear has made it from Newfoundland to Victoria BC and a few spots in between.

Just wanted to drop a few progress pics and say thank you to all of our firefighters for your continued dedication and support to this outlet of mine.

Re UPPIN!!!

Happy to say that my overhead of (FREE!!!!!!) art and journal supplies purchased through the Puzzle Piece Campaign is sitting at around 10 books and about 10 sets of art pencils and pens. At one time I was sitting at about 70-80 of each!!!

Through just this page alone and appearing at community events, I have been able to personally hand out all of the supplies to community members and have even been able to ship some across Canada to individuals and community programs to ensure they make it for free to people who could use them.

Think about that for a second, enough of you all purchased and donated enough to the Tatted Leatherworx puzzle piece campaign that over the last 4 years of doing it we (you all and I) raised about $4500 in cash to buy art supplies to be given away FREE!!!!!!!!! to any child (regardless) and or any person with PTSD, anxiety etc to create positive artistic outlets to help deal with living with the quiet wars.

It’s thanksgiving weekend and I felt it proper to show thanks to all of you for continuing to drive forward the campaign which my real reason for working with leather. You all have given me the ability to talk with many people who benefit from having the art supplies and happy to say the feedback is monumental. This helps them!! Journaling or getting lost in drawing etc helps and you all are the reason anyone has ever felt any little bit of benefit from this.

As you know the supplies are purchased solely from the $10 cost of each sold keychain. Without you all there would be no supplies. So thank you very much and special thank you to Les Card for continuing to return for more keychains. You have been a supporter of the vision since day one and continuing to support this is incredibly humbling and appreciated.

This is more than a picture of helmet shields in construction, It is a representation of trust.

Trust from multiple departments that this little one man shop will represent and carry the respect and integrity of the department’s values to create and produce top quality traditional pieces for them.

I am honoured to be able to fulfil such a request not only for the many departments I have met but right down to the smallest keychain for a newly met supporter met at a local craft fair.

Every one of you supporters mean the damn world to me, for every order, like, share or hello you give.

Anyone who had the opportunity to serve their community in any way knows the sacrifices it takes and know even more what is often taken away.

From tow truck drivers to frontline workers , dispatchers, funeral services etc you have no doubt felt or seen the heavy toll it can take.

Cracked Armour was a pioneer for bringing awareness to the importance of mental health and providing an incredible way to help kick the living s**t out of the stigma that comes with it.

Even though I have not had the opportunity to work along side Mark, we did speak briefly and in that small amount of time it was easy to see his drive and dedication to his cause.

His persistence and hard work brought mental health front and center in a real way and was a huge motivation for many.

May Mark’s dream live on and he rest easy. The impact you made here brother was and is real.
