11 years ago today I did my first wedding. I decorated, set up and went on my way 💕 The couple was an older couple who’d been together for many years but wanted to make it official. It was a small ceremony and dinner in the social room of their building and went off with zero issues 🙌🏼

From that wedding I also made a friend. Someone who would go on to support me in all I did moving forward and was very kind and let me know she was proud of me!!

She recently passed away. I am so thankful she came into my life and trusted me (who had no experience) for such an important moment in her life. We would always chat on their anniversary and share tagged posts. I’m definitely missing that today ❤️

Happening in a few short weeks ✨ I absolutely love hosting this event for a number of reasons…
💜 most important is raising money for the Kingston Interval House
🍷 next it’s the social aspect where attendees are invited to take some time for themselves while enjoying all the event has to offer
🫶🏽finally I am so thrilled to meet, chat with, and welcome every single person who comes to this event for whatever their reason is

Today I received this incredibly thoughtful and personal gift from an amazing couple I got to work with this year ✨

Trying to get together in the snowiest winter in almost 15 years is where the journey began…the meetings, text messages, endless decisions, learning who this couple was and helping their special day go off without any major issues is where it went next!

I am so thankful for every amazing person who chooses me to be apart of their BIG day! It’s not just a wedding to me. It’s YOUR dream and I take that very seriously 💕

Sometimes on days like this where I am lucky enough to be able to coordinate such an amazing wedding for an even more amazing couple I am grateful that this is what I get to do for a living ✨ Truth is it doesn’t feel like work but instead just a really great opportunity to help on what I hope it the couples best day ❤️
