We're down to the last 4 days of the February Knitting Challenge!
So far I have made a total of 16 chemo beanies and 4 preemie hats. I'm hoping I can get a bunch more finished before the end of the month! 🧢😊

If you would like to make a donation please see the link in my bio or scan the QR code!

I'd also like to take a moment to give a shout out to my wonderful coworker Vanessa for all of her support! 😍

She put together an awesome poster for my donation challenge, which was put up at work and has been sharing my posts to get the word out! AND for her generous donation to my fundraiser (which was my first!) Truly truly thankful and very much appreciated! πŸ˜πŸ’–

I was able to knock out two more hats this weekend! 😊

My hands have been a bit more cranky of late, but I suspect not taking my supplements daily this past week or so has brought back some of that inflammation and stiffness *tsk tsk*

Hoping I can get at least one hat done every evening this week, but we'll see how it goes!

The circular rows in this video show the crown (top) portion of the hat, then I switch to shell stitches to build up the length.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! If you would like to donate please check out the link in my bio or scan the QR code that I'll be posting!

Together we will find a cure!

Officially Day 2 of the February Knitting Challenge and I'm off to a decent start! While I did start trying out a couple beanie hat patterns last month for this challenge I'm happy to say my hands are still feeling pretty good lately! Which has my spirits high & hopeful that I'll have a heaping pile of hats to donate by the end of the month! πŸ˜ŠπŸ™Œ

I'd like to give a huge shout out to the crochet artist of the pattern I am using! The beautifully designed "Simple Scallops Chemo Hat" pattern by
This hat is as comfy as it looks and the Loops & Threads Flecks Acrylic Blend yarn is working perfectly for this project!

If you would like to support my efforts this month and make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society please head to the link in my bio to my donation page!

Testing some patterns for next month's February Knitting Challenge.

I've committed to crochet every day next month as well as raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. This project is dear to my heart for many important reasons, so I'm also hoping that I can raise a bit of money for cancer research. πŸ’›

My project goal is to make a few different styles of chemo hats as well as preemie hats. I hope to have as many completed as possible by the end of next month which I will be donating to a local hospital.

If you knit or crochet please consider signing up for the challenge! 😊 You can do so on the Canadian Cancer Society website or through their Facebook/IG posts. There is also a lovely FB group for this challenge and it is truly amazing to see folks from all over Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ already signed up and working on their projects!πŸ₯°

Please consider making a donation to help me reach my goal! And if you'd share this post or my fundraising link that would also be greatly appreciated!πŸ’–πŸ‘

The hustle and bustle of daily life and the Holiday season can grind us down and be quite a stressful time for us all.
Just remember...

Last year I decided to make some lovely mermaid tail 🧜 hats for the first time ever!!! I was truly thrilled at how they turned out...and so were the little ones! 😍

Working on another winter cat hat, this one for myself, going to add some festive flare! πŸ˜ΈπŸŽ„

Recently joined a book club and I figured it might be nice to make myself a crochet bookmark, instead of using price tags, bobby pins, or old receipts. I know I'm not the only one!! 😝

Something about a lace style bookmark caught my imagination... So, when I came across this lovely vintage Victorian style lace crochet pattern I knew I had to try it out!

I decided I wanted something a little more delicate and so sized down to Aunt Lydia's Crochet Thread Classic 10 (size 0/lace)
Thread Colour: Ocean
Crochet Hook Size: 1.5mm

I really loved how this lace
turned out. The fan shaped body reminds me of Ginko tree leaves! 😍

Thanks to
for her awesome pattern and YouTube video.πŸ‘Œ
She has many lovely patterns, do check out her videos/social!😍

Overall, really like how this has turned out!

Need to rework the edges as I deviated slightly from the original pattern (I like to experiment) and I'm not quite liking the result of the connected edges, so will go back and redo it!
I gotta say I think these will look really great as earrings!
