A customer brought Jamie Emerton his late mother's blender. He rebuilt it. The man can cook her recipes again.

That is the job, more or less. Jamie was "literally raised in a museum" (his mother ran the Brockville Museum), studied history, worked as a historical interpreter, then spent nearly a decade at Kingston's Old Phone Works learning how to bring dead machines back. When US tariffs pulled the plug on that company's American market, he started Find It All Antiques rather than leave the trade.

Jukeboxes. Barber chairs. Coke machines. Typewriters. VCRs. A 1940s Toronto-made milkshake machine that was "in terrible shape" and is now back in a restaurant. They leave his workshop working, usually with an upgrade: radios that stream from your phone, antique telephones running on modern cellular networks.

"I'm trying to make these things usable for another 100 years."

He sells through Studio 88 at 70 Princess Street, where his framed vintage ads (rescued from estate sales and auctions) are among the first things to go. Next goal: a storefront workshop where you can stand and watch a restoration happen.

An Elder's Ginger Ale Crate and a bottle in good shape. Elder's manufacturered, bottled and sold their soda locally until 1971.

Find of the day!

A Canadian Made Marconi 1061F Reel to Reel tape recorder/player!

Not only that but found inside are recordings of a 1970s family vacation to Italy where they are describing slides that would have gone with the tapes.

Put a small amount of Find It All Antiques Wax Polish paste on a microfiber cloth and apply to the surface you want to restore. It also works as a buffing compound!
