Seetusee Pigskin Serving Tray. Seetusee was based in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba from 1960 until 1975. All Seetusee pieces are unique as they were hand painted, cured and carefully sealed with a pigskin backing and a distinctive gold finish along the edge.

Just arrived! A collection of Canadian pictorial souvenir cups and creamers. A wonderful and unusual area of collecting. The rise of tourism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries saw a surge in the production and sale of porcelain souvenirs, often featuring local scenes, historic buildings, and monuments. These same images often appeared on postcards as well. The U.S. and Britain were leaders in this industry.

The antique porcelain items seen in this picture (mostly creamers) are depicting Canadian towns and regions. All are from the early 20th century and, because they are all Canadian scenes, a bit rare and sometimes difficult to find. But, then again, its all about the hunt!
