TESTER LOVE ♥️

More incredible testers on the grid today as we close the Into the Archives Tank test. I love every gorgeous colour and button choice here - there are so many fun variations to play with! Some testers in this group also asked for permission to make some mods like lengthening the peplum or adding rounds to drop the waist - see if you can spot them! 👀

As always, these ladies are so incredibly appreciated. I really couldn’t be a designer or release these patterns without their sharp analysis, patience, and clear communication. Thank you all! ♥️

TESTER LOVE ♥️

The Into the Archives Tank testers have been wrapping up over the last few days and it never ceases to amaze me how exciting it is to see your design brought to life on so by so many different makers! 🙌

Today’s tester love features our warm-toned fiber choices and so many gorgeous views of the details in this tank! These ladies were *meticulous* with bringing this pattern to its full potential from stitching to photography, and I cannot thank them enough for their detailed notes, catches, and patience with me as I navigated an extremely busy season of life while this test was underway. Check out their gorgeous modelling 🤩 (and the tops too! 😏), including a snap of the backside at the end of the carousel.

I have decided that we will go for the original release date - Into the Archives Tank will release this Friday, July 5th! 🎉

🚨 TESTER CALL 🚨

The Into the Archives Tank is ready for testing! I am honoured to bring this top to life through an amazing collab with (yarn) and (buttons) and we can’t wait to bring testers into the mix for the next stage! Testers are such an integral part of ensuring fit and yardage are on point before a pattern release, so all makers can enjoy this top!

All info is in the link in my bio, but here’s some Cole’s notes about the pattern:
▴ intermediate difficulty level
▴ written in US terms
▴ size inclusive from XS-5X (bust sizes 27”-62”)
▴ please apply for sizing based on your/your model’s true bust measure

And notes on what I need from testers:
▴ Able to secure 1060 (1155, 1260, 1390, 1545) (1710, 1890, 2100, 2320) yards of sock (weight 1) yarn and five 1” buttons, a 3.25mm hook (or hook for gauge), plus general crochet materials to complete your size
▴ Provide photos of completed work and feedback (including yardage used) by Sunday, June 30, 2024
▴ Provide honest and constructive feedback on pattern and fit throughout testing
▴ Have a public Instagram account that is yarn-related
▴ Must be following me () on Instagram (so we can DM without hitting the Requests folder!)
▴ Willing to create and provide 2-3 well-lit, clear modelled photos so I can ensure fit of garment
▴ Able to add a project to Ravelry

Heyyyyy… Doesn’t she look familiar?! 😏 I do mean the top, but yeah, my face hasn’t really been gracing the grid much myself 😅

Introducing my newest design, the Into the Archives Tank! This is a playful and professional summer spin on her sister sweater that released this winter. Those who guessed “tank” and “baby doll top” in my stories the other day were both correct!

Made in collaboration with and , this adorable top features the Docs colourway from Christa’s brand new Grunge collection and octagonal buttons in Ambrosia from Anna. The yarn is fi*****ng weight for the lightest summer wear and excellent drape on the cowl and peplum. You can also see the cowl can be worn two different ways too 🙌

Keep an eye out for the testing call coming soon for her. The pattern will probably take me a bit of time to write up, but I’m hoping for next weekend!

I’ve been staring at this fade on my back counter every day for a week, courtesy of my 2022 and 2023 Advent Winter Boxes 🤩

Colour ordering has long haunted me in multi-colour projects so I haven’t jumped on caking these just yet, because I want it to be *just right.* I always seem to get to a part of the project where I just am angry at myself for thinking the ordering I chose ever could have possibly been the best one 🙃

I think it’s finally time to cake it though - I keep walking by and changing nothing! Anyone else like this? 🥲

CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE YARN CHOICES HERE?!?!

I swear, every time one of my testers submits more photos, I almost fall out of my chair - the colours are so stunning!! This is A LOT of near-misses for potential injuries, people!! 🤪 Don’t even get me started on the buttons 😱

The versatility of the Into the Archives Sweater really came through with these yarn choices - from gorgeous variegates to tweed to classic neutrals - it looks so beautiful in every form. I’m already starting to plot another one myself!
