A Day in Portugal 🇵🇹

Today was one of those days that reminds me why I started this journey.

I spent the day wandering through an antique store that seemed to go on forever. Room after room filled with beautiful furniture, vintage treasures, handcrafted details, and pieces with more character than anything you’ll find in a big box store.

The kind of place where you walk in thinking you’ll be there for 15 minutes and suddenly hours have passed.

Every corner held another piece I wanted to bring home.

Honestly, if I could have fit the entire store into my container, I probably would have.

For now, I’m carefully choosing the pieces that speak to me most and imagining the homes they’ll find in Canada.

Some days are about buying.

Some days are about being inspired.

The Hunt 🇵🇹

Not every stop leads to a purchase.

Some days are spent wandering through antique shops, exploring old villages, peeking into tile stores, and following a hunch down a road I’ve never traveled before.

The best finds aren’t always the ones you’re looking for.

Sometimes they’re the ones you never expected to discover.

This is my favorite part of the journey.

Why Portugal?

Because some of my favorite things aren’t things at all.

They’re stories.

The story of an old cabinet that’s been in the same family for generations.

The story of a craftsman who built furniture to last.

The story of a country that still values quality, character, and tradition.

Portugal gave me more than beautiful furniture.

It reminded me why I fell in love with antiques in the first place.

Now I’m bringing a few of those stories home with me.

🇵🇹 ❤️ 🇨🇦

Meet the Sisters. 🤎

Some pieces simply belong together.

Crafted from richly grained quarter-sawn oak, these matching display cabinets blend graceful curves with timeless craftsmanship. Their serpentine drawer fronts, elegant cabriole legs, and wavy bonnet tops speak to the enduring influence of late 18th-century Queen Anne design, beautifully reimagined in the early 20th century.

Imagine them standing proudly in a grand country home, their leaded glass doors protecting treasured porcelain, crystal, family heirlooms, or a well-loved collection gathered over generations. Every drawer, every curve, and every grain tells a story of quality built to outlast trends.

Whether displayed together or placed in separate rooms, these sisters bring warmth, character, and history wherever they stand.
