I’m Angie and I’m so very pleased to meet you. I’m the proud mom of a kind and thoughtful man, Michael now an adult. I was a single parent for 10+ years and have found a supportive and loving life partner in Verne whom I affectionately call my Big Man. For many years I have worked up the corporate ladder for a major financial institution in Canada which was rewarding but it left me starving for a creative outlet. Now I’m finally in a space and time in this world where I feel it’s safe for me to find out just who Angie is and to let her create.
So far, I have discovered that I’m a hippie with a somewhat tarnished mind... sailor’s mouth and am cheeky as hell. Nothing better than sitting outside in the sunshine in a long flowing cotton dress, breeze blowing, birds chirping, bees buzzing with a glass wine in my hand. My feet up, listening to Fleetwood Mac while thinking up clever, kinda naughty catch phrases to apply to housewares, textiles and linens to give as gifts for friends and family that are clever and one of a kind. Find me a craft fair or flea market and I’m there looking for something new. I love the atmosphere of people creating their own art and lovingly displaying and offering up for others to share. Once in a while I’ve come across some gems that I treasure, but often saw the same things over and over again.
Now because I often saw the same things over and over again, I really like to create items that fit for the owner. Find an old lamp. Take it apart, add some pieces, paint some pieces and re purpose the shade and put it all back together rejuvenated and ready for someone to enjoy. Maybe I find some old pieces of wood to make into chalkboards or shelves. Pretty and loved.
Another passion of mine is finding old pieces of furniture that I can paint up and decorate into something worthy of a magazine spread. There’s something so grounding in a piece of furniture built to last back in the days before mass production. Each one unique and lovingly created.
I decided to enter the world of entrepreneurship and share my passion with y’all. Both online and at a local market. Please enjoy!
