🎨 Feature Artist Friday — Payton Lisk

This week we're delighted to feature Payton Lisk, an Anishinaabe painter and illustrator based here in the Saugeen Peninsula region, and one of the newest artists to join us at The Art Shoppe!

Payton earned an art and design degree from Sheridan College and creates work inspired by their mixed Indigenous roots and a deep love of Canadian wildlife and plants. Her pieces often feature the trees, birds, bears, and mushrooms of the Canadian landscape, reflecting a strong connection to life in nature and to her Indigenous heritage.

Through her art, Payton hopes to keep sharing her culture and connection to the land, while advocating for Indigenous rights and environmental conservation.

Using AI is not professional. It looks sloppy and leaves out important information that could help your event or business success

If you don't put in a little effort to just make the flyer yourself, what other relatively simple things did you not put effort into? A growing number of locals businesses a using Ai flyer and Ad. How can you live somewhere so rooted in protect the land, ecosystem and wildlife and yet still us it for their business

the data centers are literally poisoning drinking water, destroying nature migrations of are birds and make things increasingly more expensive for people. I shouldn't have to pay more to live and get poisoned and you shouldn’t ethier !!!

STOP USING AI for Art and your business

As we witness the devastating effects of wildfires in Ontario,it’s crucial to acknowledge the tireless efforts of firefighters who are bravely combating these blazes. Their work is not just about fighting flames 🔥 they are protecting our wildlife, lands, and First Nations communities who homes and communities have been impacted or taken from them due to the fires. While many express concern over air quality in Toronto, let’s remember the sacrifices made by those on the front lines and the people who’s lives are been uprooted . My grandfather was a forest firefighter, and I have immense gratitude for all those dedicating their lives to this noble service. Together, let’s support these heroes!



Donations to the Namaygoosisagagun First Nation will fund emergency supplies, temporary shelter and other essential resources.

The Canadian Red Cross Wildfire Fund supports long-term fire recovery, fire preparedness and those affected by fires.
