Hey friends! It’s been a while since I showed my face on here so I thought it was long overdue for me to (re)introduce myself.

My name is Lea and I am wife to Adam, and mom to Ruby and Oakley (p.s. my kids names were the inspiration for my business name).

I am the owner and principal designer at Red Acorn Studio. I fell in love with design at a young age and every day I am thankful that I get to do the thing my twelve-year-old self dreamed of.

I have had the opportunity over the years to work with some amazing people on some amazing projects and I don’t take it for granted. Running a design business is so much more complicated and stressful than people generally think but the outcomes and the relationships make it all worth it. I also can’t thank my right hand lady .visual.design enough for all she does in my business and my life.

Here are a few fun facts about me to help you get to know me a little better:

1. My favourite movie is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty with Ben Stiller

2. Outside of design, my passion is travelling

3. My husband and I have been together since I was 15

4. One of my favourite hobbies is doing jigsaw puzzles

5. I did photography professionally for many years and it is still something I enjoy very much as a hobby
