Подготовка к Pentecost Festival стала для меня особенным творческим опытом.
В этот раз мне захотелось попробовать новое направление, создать не только костюм, но и традиционный женский головной убор. Так появилась моя «сорока», изделие, которое я сшила и украсила своими руками специально для фестиваля.
Работа над этим образом была очень вдохновляющей: ткань, детали, вышивка, бусины, тесьма. Всё постепенно сложилось в единый образ, связанный с русской традицией и народной культурой.
Участие в фестивале принесло много радости, тепла и прекрасного общения. Было очень приятно встретиться с людьми разных национальностей, увидеть красивые костюмы, услышать истории и почувствовать, как культура объединяет нас через творчество, уважение и открытость.
Спасибо Pentecost Festival за эту возможность и за такую душевную атмосферу.
Preparing for the Pentecost Festival became a very special creative experience for me.
This time, I had the opportunity to explore a new direction in my work, creating not only a traditional costume, but also a handmade national headpiece. The headpiece is called a Soroka - a traditional Russian women’s headdress that was historically worn by married women, especially after marriage as a sign of family status. Everyday versions were modest, while festive ones were beautifully decorated with embroidery, beads, ribbons, and trims.
I made and decorated this Soroka myself especially for the festival.
Working on this look was truly inspiring. Fabric, details, embroidery, beads, and trims slowly came together into one complete image connected with Russian folk tradition and cultural heritage.
Being part of the festival brought me so much joy. It was wonderful to meet and connect with people from many different cultures, to see beautiful traditional outfits, hear stories, and feel how creativity, respect, and openness bring people together.
