Before & after of a townhouse renovation where the focus was not just to make the home look newer, but to make every transition, function, and detail feel more intentional.
In the kitchen, we minimized the existing bulkhead as much as possible and softened the hard corner with a curved transition for a smoother connection between the counter and powder room wall. The appliances were fully updated, including a built-in drawer microwave and a panel-ready fridge aligned with the counter depth for a cleaner, more seamless look.
The original foyer closet was redesigned into a multi-functional millwork feature. One side works as an entry cabinet, one side as a hallway closet, and the dining-facing side becomes a built-in sideboard. Three sides, three functions — making the space much more practical and visually refined.
We also updated the staircase to match the new flooring, replaced the pickets with a cleaner metal style, removed the crown moulding throughout, redesigned the powder room with a curved bulkhead and integrated lighting, and added built-in storage/display cabinetry to the second-floor open area.
Sometimes a good renovation is not about over-designing. It is about making the home feel calmer, smoother, and more thoughtfully connected.
