Framed in Beads: Bead Embroidered Brooch with Anne Marie
Have you ever looked at a beautifully beaded cabochon and wondered how all of those tiny beads are stitched so perfectly around it? This class is your chance to learn the technique for yourself.
Join Anne Marie at Bead Dynasty Supplies and turn a handmade cabochon into your own one of a kind piece of wearable art.
You will begin by choosing a handmade cabochon from a selection provided by Anne Marie. From there, she will guide you through creating a pe**te stitch bezel, adding layers of bead embroidery, preparing the backing, creating decorative edging and finishing your piece as a beautiful brooch..
If you have been admiring bead embroidery and thinking, “I would love to learn how to do that,” this is a wonderful opportunity to learn in person with an experienced teacher guiding you through each step.
All levels are welcome. Basic comfort using a needle and thread is recommended.

Class Fee: $50 per student
Kit Fee: $20 payable to the teacher
The kit includes a handmade cabochon, backing material, needle, thread and 11/0, 8/0 and 15/0 seed beads.
Students should bring scissors, their regular beading kit and magnification if required. You are also welcome to bring small crystals, pearls, stones or rondelles measuring approximately 3 to 4 mm to personalize your piece. Some accent beads will also be available for purchase.
