Before Buying Flooring
A product that works well in one room may not be the right choice in another.
For example:
Basements and concrete subfloors: moisture conditions and installation method should be checked before choosing hardwood, laminate or vinyl.
Condos: always confirm the building’s requirements for underlayment, sound ratings and flooring installation before purchasing material.
Bathrooms and wet areas: porcelain tile and appropriate waterproofing systems are commonly used, but the tile finish, size and slip characteristics also matter.
Busy homes and commercial spaces: wear layer, abrasion rating, surface finish and repairability should be considered—not just colour and price.
