Candace & Basil Furniture We are family owned
We ship throughout Canada & USA
We specialize in custom beds & sofas We strive to make your home a palace and vice versa.

The names Candace & Basil are derived from ancient titles given to a Queen and King, respectively. This royal bond symbolizes not only the leadership of an empire but also that of a household. Together, the name represents our brand, but more importantly, the customers we serve. We are a family and Canadian-owned brand of home furnishings & décor serving Canada and USA. Our family has been a part of the North American furniture industry since 1986 as an importer, manufacturer and distributor to large national chains and local home stores. We strive to uphold the same values and principles from our family business in Candace & Basil. Our mandate is and has always been to maintain integrity in all aspects of our business, deliver the best possible quality at fair prices and to treat all stakeholders, especially our customers, like royalty. Each vendor is carefully selected and items curated to ensure our customers are getting the quality they deserve. Let’s put it this way: if it's not good enough for our home, it's not good enough for yours.

At Candace & Basil, we make your bed from scratch, in-house, to suit your design, your space, and your needs—not limit you to what’s in a catalogue.

Choose from different storage options, incorporate built-in night tables, or create a complete headboard wall with upholstered panels and precisely placed electrical cutouts. Already have an adjustable bed base? We can design the frame to accommodate it. Tight hallways or narrow staircases? We can build your bed in smaller components for easier access.

From the overall dimensions to the smallest finishing detail, we help you create something that looks exactly how you envisioned—and works exactly how you need it to.

Bring us your ideas and your must-haves. The world is your oyster at Candace & Basil.
