A thoughtful balance of texture, materiality, and refined simplicity.

For this kitchen, the warmth of textured oak-look melamine meets the natural movement and character of quartzite. Clean architectural lines, carefully selected lighting, and custom millwork bring the composition together.

From space planning and technical drawings to material selections and detailing, every decision was guided by both aesthetics and everyday functionality.

The result is a kitchen where practical solutions and sophisticated design exist in harmony.

Before I ever worked on interiors, I studied colour and composition at art school.

My visit to The San Diego Museum of Art brought me back to that foundation and reminded me why visiting galleries remains such an important part of my creative life. Seeing works by Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley, Theodore Robinson, Pablo Picasso, Pierre Bonnard, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí, Yves Tanguy and Gabriele Münter was a wonderful source of inspiration.

Developing an eye for design means continually looking, noticing and exploring. A painting’s palette, its proportions or the way it captures light can open up new possibilities for a room.

That’s what I bring back to my work at Okomoko Interiors: fresh inspiration and a deeper appreciation for original art.

I love helping clients find pieces they genuinely connect with, art that gives their home a character all its own. 🤍

Imagine coming home to this glow.

Rich wood, warm brass and flowering branches, brought together by candlelight. A quiet corner that invites you to slow down and enjoy being home.

For this client’s space, I selected an RH sideboard and Crate & Barrel candleholders, then styled them with her West Elm vase. Each piece adds something different; together, they create a sense of warmth and balance.

A museum visit can change the way you see a room.

Today I visited The Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse at the Art Gallery of Ontario, featuring works from the Dallas Museum of Art.

As a designer, I’m drawn to the unexpected colour combinations, the balance of a composition, and the way light creates atmosphere. These are details I think about when designing a home, too.

The many exhibitions I’ve explored across Europe and North America continually inspire me and sharpen my eye, and strengthen my commitment to helping clients choose original art for their homes.

Last night in Yorkville was all about art, inspiration, and meaningful conversations.
I had the chance to attend an exhibition featuring works by Mykola Zhuravel and see pieces by Jean-Michel Basquiat. I’ve always loved art that makes you stop, look deeper, and feel something beyond the visual.
Evenings like this always leave behind a special atmosphere.
