You will find JaKaL Design in the most surprising places!!
JaKaL reimagined this vanity for a client who is opening a boutique hotel.

JaKaL is happy to have completed our latest commission. 😊

This remarkable antique cupboard is a true testament to historical craftsmanship, with a structural lineage that dates back over a century. It is a primitive handcrafted pine jam cupboard. Its authenticity is cemented by the presence of hand-forged square-head nails visible on the plank back and top crown, a key marker of 19th-century construction.
The exterior showcases a stunning juxtaposition: the original dark-stained wood frame provides a rich, rustic border around the cream-painted front doors. These doors feature a striking, elegant magnolia floral motif that breathes soft life into the aged piece.
The interior is equally surprising, revealing its original, rough-hewn natural wood door backs and a vibrant, velvet-lined red cabinet with four shelves, creating a perfect and unexpected display space.
Balancing rugged history with refined floral beauty, this is a true heirloom piece that captures two eras in one.

We’d love to give new life to your old pieces!!
