I’d like to take a minute to share all the things I love about this makeover ♥️

This little one came in with her dad as he had told her one day they’d paint her dresser. She stood back and looked at all the colours on the shelf and chose the one she was drawn to. Imagine if us “grown ups” allowed ourselves the joy of choosing colour because we loved it, not because it was on trend or we were afraid it would be too loud?

After she chose Fusion’s Laurentian (great colour! 👌) They went home and got to work painting it together 🥰 cherishing special memories over a “ flawless factory finish”.

Well done guys! 🙌 this truly made my week!

Oh! And dad messaged back telling us he can’t get over how impressed he was with Fusion Mineral Paint. 😉

This weekend Shediac is hosting a Renaissance Faire and although I’m not completely sure we’re a perfect fit, we will have a booth in their merchants village. Because they are aiming to keep it as authentic as possible, new-modern signage is discouraged (yay!) so today I am hand painting our tent signage with Fusion Mineral Paint. It’s formula holds up well outdoors without requiring a top coat or sealer and the colours hold up nicely as well ☀️
I love the calming affect of slowing down and focusing on something done by hand and how imperfect it looks.

It has me thinking, should I be doing something more “productive” or something that is generating business this afternoon? Possibly… but am I enjoying this? Absolutely!

We are delighted that one of the most popular items this week has been our new watercolour workbooks. You guys are loving them as much as we do!

These coil bound books are made up of 12 themed images, all outlined and with instructions on how to approach painting them! Simple enough for the first time painter and a lovely activity for some quiet alone time or to do alongside friends or family. Each illustration takes about 30 minute to complete.

There is still lots of summer to be enjoyed! Especially here in NB where is just feels like it started mere weeks ago.

Congratulations Shelley from Ruby Valentine & Co. rubyvalentineco Shelley won $100 in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint ®️ in the Annie Sloan Canada Geometric Paint Challenge!

The challenge took place in June and Annie personally chose the winner 🙌 saying how it was a "Unique Canadian piece incorporating maple leaf handles with beautiful soft grey/blue geometrics reminding us of markings on rowing blades and Canadian First Nation's designs."

Shelly says: "I felt I would use the geometric shapes found in artwork, beadwork, and regalia seen across Canada this time of year, and since the challenge closed near Canada Day, I felt it was fitting."
