Michele of By the Beach Bags has been busy sewing an assortment of beach bags, crossbody bags, shopping bags and shoulder bags for Artisans Waterfront Market this season.
She finds planning what bags to sew and what fabrics to use is a really fun part of any project. There are so many lovely fabrics and patterns to choose from!

Congratulations to Trudy of Cabin Fever Carving for being commissioned to make an extraordinary piece of art for HRM King Charles III.
Trudy will be joining us again this season so you can see her beautiful pieces in person!

The Island Walk

Having this sculpture commissioned as a gift for HRM King Charles III was a great honour and a huge compliment. Victoria Day weekend seemed like a good time to make this post.

The Lieutenant Governor of PEI requested a carving that would represent our coastal life and reflect the environmental ethic of reimagining vintage and byproduct materials as art.

The whale and maple leaf are carved from local sourced beef bone and are mounted in an up-cycled, vintage 8” x 10” frame. It was presented to King Charles in the fall of 2025.
