Over the weekend we quietly celebrated the 5 year anniversary of Smellies.

If this year felt a little quieter from us, it’s because we chose to step back and make space for something we haven’t given ourselves in a long time– time to reflect, recalibrate, and rethink the way we want to show up in this next chapter.

We realized we were operating out of habit and influence instead of intention, and that the best way forward was to pause.

This permission to step back and reflect on who we once were and who we wanted to become gave us a new perspective.

We’re building what comes next carefully and quietly, making sure it feels aligned with the heart of why we started.

Thank you for your patience, your presence, and your support through every season of Smellies. More is coming, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

As with most things at Smellies, everything begins with scent-iment. When reached out to us and connected us with the stories of women struggling with homelessness as a result of mental health challenges, trauma etc. we couldn’t help but want to create something that could help raise funds and awareness to such a supportive cause in honour of International Women’s Day.

On 02.25.2025 - our Honey candle arrives at smellies-scents.com and tickets release for our community ‘Honey, You Are Home’ event. Tickets will include access to the event, our Honey candle & a gift bag from our sponsors. Tickets will be limited.

Project: HONEY, YOU ARE HOME

When The Hadley Community () reached out to us to partner with them on a fundraiser for Anne’s House, we knew we wanted to do something extra scent-imental for their community of women in need. Funded by donations alone, Anne’s House supports women who are struggling with mental health challenges compounded with trauma and/or abuse and homelessness by providing them with their very own studio apartments, guidance and support towards their journey to re-entry into society.

We’ve developed our initiative called HONEY, YOU ARE HOME as a reminder to all women that our body is our very first home and to encourage the care and nourishment of the place we can always come home to— ourselves.

Our limited edition candle & event tickets will be launching on February 25th.
