Our family grew by four paws: Alice, our second whippet, has officially moved in with us!
Some of you already know Winston, our little boy. Alice is his litter mate, so this is a bit of a sibling reunion. Her breeder had kept her for dog shows and possibly for breeding down the road, but his plans changed. He knew weâd been hoping to welcome a second dog, so he reached out to ask if weâd be interested in adopting her. It didnât take us long to say yes!
Since Alice comes to us as an adult and a former show dog, sheâs very well trained. She knows her manners, but she doesnât know our routines yet, so this past week has been all about adapting, for her and for us. Two dogs means double the walks (or walks with two dogs and leashes being intertwined!), a little more planning at mealtime and twice as many paws to wipe on rainy days. It also means getting to know a whole new personality, with her own little quirks. One thing is for sure: double the dogs means double the dog pictures for you. If they can stay still for a minute or two!
