Another lovely customer finish, this time for !

The peicing on this top was so great, I knew I didn't want anything that would draw attention in terms of a quilting design, but I also didn't just want to fall back on my tried and true Bauhaus. So after a good half hour of consideration I finally landed on this design called Argyle from (I already had a design called Argyle, so I ended up naming this one Argyle Tab in my system to help differentiate it)

The stitching was done with a green/yellow variegated thread and a nice beige to blend on the backing

Une autre magnifique réalisation pour une cliente, cette fois-ci !

L'assemblage de ce dessus de courtepointe était tellement réussi que je ne voulais pas un motif de piquage trop voyant, mais je ne voulais pas non plus me contenter de mon motif Bauhaus habituel. Après une bonne demi-heure de réflexion, j'ai finalement opté pour le motif Argyle de (j'avais déjà un motif du même nom, alors je l'ai renommé Argyle Tab dans mon système pour le différencier).

Le piquage a été réalisées avec un fil de variance vert/jaune et un joli beige pour le dos.

Got to put some bubbles on this cute little fish quilt for a new client.

Simple quilting patterns are sometimes the best option for some quilts, as I never want my quilting to overpower the piecing my clients have spent so much time on.

New website is live!!

If you tried to check out my website over the holidays, you more than likely would've come face to face with an error 404 message - people who did reached out to let me know and ask if i was closing up (I'm not, and thank you for checking in!)

I had recently transferred my domain to a new host and my old website host got a little pissy about it apparently. No matter what I tried, the host wouldnt allow me to link my domain back to my website.

So I did the only normal thing, swore a bit, cancelled my subscription with them, and then started working on a new website with my new domain host.

All that to say, I am quite pleased with the look and feel of the new website (especially on mobile, as my old one had some issues there) and now that it's live, I'll be able to concentrate on more quilting 😁

Hello hello!

Been a while since my last post, but I promise it was for a valid reason. Over the holidays (or rather just before) I had the (anxiety riddled) pleasure of packing up the home my partner and I had been calling home for the last decade + and moving into what I hope is our "grow old" house.

Let me tell you, 10+ years of living accumulates A LOT of stuff (and memories), but the new place is already starting to feel like home, so thats a plus.

My studio is pretty much all set up (I think I'm missing a small stand or something to sit my iron on so it doesnt take up space on my new ironing and cutting station) and I even managed to get some quilts hung.

Hopefully I'll be able to get back into the swing of semi regular posting now that the choas has subsided, so stay tuned for some lovely customer quilts, as well as some of my own projects!

I made a thing!

The quilt top has been finished since the end of October, but things have been pure CHAOS around here since then and I have not really had a brain left over at the end of the day to feed the social media beast.

So anyways, here's my completed Anne of Green Gables quilt top from the (not so) recent sew along hosted by

I wanted a more "rustic" feel to the quilt, so I decided to mainly use Essex Linens with some exceptions when i couldnt find the proper shade or colour I wanted.

Still have no clue how I'm going to quilt it, but thats a problem for Future Jessie to handle.

Now that it's been received, I can finally post about this lovely rainbow eye-spy quilt Imade for my friends little.

The fabrics all have different items and animals associated with the different colours, so you can ask them something like "find the red lobster" or have them point to something and explain what it is

I wanted this quilt to be really fun and educational, so the quilting was even selected for this purpose, though used a bit strategically.

From the front, it's just some colorful rainbow lines, but from the back, you can see that it has the alphabet and 1-0 written in big block characters, which will help in easily spotting them.

A little late as has already bound, washed, delivered, and posted about this lovely quilt, but better late than never, I say!

When Stephen asked me to quilt this lovely and pulled it out of the bag, I believe I audibly squealed with how gorgeous it was and my brain immediately jumped to different quilting designs (thread color was always going to be a nice deep rainbow variegated, let's be serious here).

I ended up deciding on Fair and Square from to help continue the square and curves vibe if the pattern design.

A lovely exploded heart quilt that I had the joy of helping get finished for . I was so in a whirlwind to get the quilt done and back to them that I completely forgot to snap my normal clothesline shots, so Fiona was lovely enough to send me these after the quilt was bound and gifted.

And now that she's been relieved and shown off to the group, I can show all of you!

I got to quilt up this printed panel of 's Anne of Green Gables quilt pattern for the currently running sew along.

We decided on an edge to edge design so that people could see a wider variety of design options when you quilt your completed top. (Or send it out to a longarmer 😉)

If i can get my Essex linen version finished (or even fully cut out to start), I will probably be custom quilting it, so stay tuned to see what that will look like!

I do so love when you can just see the quilting on the back of a quilt.

Normally I'd go with a thread color to match the main background, but with this fabric being so graphic and it having a lot of typography, I thought it might be better to match the thread to the color.of the words instead. This made it so the thread didn't stand out and chop up the typography as it would have with a lighter color.
