There’s more to Bangkok than Pad Thai… 🇹🇭
If you’ve never stopped to try traditional Thai desserts, this is your sign. 🤍
This little spot in Talat Phlu is actually one of my favorite places to buy traditional Thai sweets and yes I’m a regular here! They serve so many classic Thai desserts, and because they’re so popular with locals, there’s usually already a line before the shop even opens.
Good things is that gives you plenty of time to decide what you want to try because there are SO many choices.😂
For me and Luke, we always come here for ข้าวเหนียวสังขยา (Sticky Rice with Thai Egg Custard) and black sticky rice topped with sweet coconut cream and shredded coconut. They’re also famous for ขนมชั้น (Khanom Chan) — a traditional Thai steamed layer cake made with coconut milk
And feel free to try as much as you want because the prices here are SO reasonable. We bought 10 pieces and it only cost us around $3 USD!
I also love that almost every piece is served on a banana leaf which is how many Thai desserts were traditionally served in the past.
So If you’re exploring Bangkok, definitely add traditional Thai desserts to your food list!
