☀ We would like to invite First Speakers to attend an Anishinaabemowin First Speaker Gathering on October 27th & 28th at the Anishinabe Spiritual Centre in Espanola.

♥ We hope this space nurtures the spirit of our language and our First Language speakers, as this gathering will give attendees the opportunity to freely visit and converse in Anishinaabemowin.

Accommodations and meals will be provided by the KEB, hosted at the Anishinabe Spiritual Centre facility.

The Windsor-Detroit Cross-River Tour is a plan initiative that celebrates the unique culture, history and diversity of Sandwich/west Windsor and Delray/Southwest Detroit through interpretive signage placed along pedestrian and cycling paths surrounding the Canadian and US Ports of Entry.

Our Community Stories Committee, made up of local community members, subject-matter experts, as well as other historical and cultural associations and key stakeholders in the region helped to identify content for these signs.

Over the next few weeks, we will be highlighting the individual signs starting with: The River Keepers sign on the Canadian side which documents a history of Indigenous stewardship of the Detroit River.

Anishinaabemowin-Teg Inc. is seeking a Conference Planning Coordinator to plan and deliver our 33rd Annual Conference, taking place March 25–27, 2027, in London, Ontario.

This contract role will work under the direction of the Board of Directors, Elders Senate, Youth Representatives and in collaboration with the Conference Committee.

Applications are due October 30, 2026.

Exhibition extended to run through October 29, 2026.

Stolen Childhoods presents the lived experiences of children at the Mohawk Institute, the longest-running Indian Residential School in Canada, located just 100 km from downtown Toronto in Brantford, Ontario.

Rooted in Survivor Truths and community knowledge, this exhibition centres Indigenous voices and the intergenerational impacts that continue today.

Stolen Childhoods was created by the Survivors’ Secretariat with support from Know History and funding from the Museums Assistance Program (MAP).

Please note: ROM always offers free admission, including surcharged exhibitions, to all Indigenous Peoples.

That's the heart of the 4th Annual CMO Diabetes Care Gathering. Hear from inspiring speakers, explore the educational booths, check in on your health with on-site screening, and share a catered lunch with neighbours from all three Nations. Door prizes run every hour.
