The Collected Lounge is in bloom 🌸

I've been having a little too much fun putting together these one-of-a-kind faux floral arrangements! Think soft neutrals, pretty summer garden blooms and some moodier colours that will take you right into fall — and the best part? They’ll stay looking good season after season.

Remember the trash can glow-up I shared a few months ago?

Well, the pretty thumbtacks kept popping out. So when I spotted this picnic basket at the thrift store, I nearly screamed.

It had the exact faux leather straps I'd been wanting from the beginning but couldn't find anywhere.

💡Thrifting tip: Never overlook baskets with character.

I always keep an eye out for baskets with leather straps, interesting handles, unique hardware, and beautiful weaving details. They're one of the most versatile things to thrift. Not only can they elevate your storage, but they can also inspire all kinds of decorating and DIY projects.

In this case, the leather straps with brass hardware gave my trash can the jewellery it deserved and I got a large lidded basket for storage. I love baskets with lids for hiding clutter and storing all those odds and ends you don't want out on display.

My best thrifting finds usually come down to one simple rule: go with a purpose.

The day I found this, I wasn't looking for an umbrella stand. I was looking for a plant stand.

When I spotted this piece for $5, I immediately flipped it upside down and knew it would be the perfect plant stand for my space. An older gentleman nearby commented on the incredible craftsmanship and quality of the wood and told me I'd found the score of the day.

It definitely felt that way. Had a plant stand not been on my radar, I might have walked right past it.

When you know what you're searching for, you start seeing possibilities where others see ordinary objects.

Pro tip: Keep a running list of items you're hunting for and bring it with you when you thrift. Then start looking beyond what an item was designed to be and imagine what it could become.

I love a good before & after.

Excited to share this recent staging project in Sprucedale, Ontario!

Thoughtful furniture placement, styling, and space planning helped make the most of this home's layout. By blending the client's existing furnishings with carefully selected modern pieces, my goal was to create a warm, inviting atmosphere that complemented the property's beautiful woodsy setting.

Designers don't see spaces the same way.

Where some people see an office/storage room, we see possibility.

This built-in was filled with odds and ends. The room was functional, but it wasn't being fully enjoyed.

The moment I saw it, I imagined a warm, collected lounge filled with vintage treasures, cozy seating, and thoughtful details.

That's the magic of design. Looking beyond what exists and creating what could be.
