Collected vintage finds. Good vibes. A place to linger.

I've been quietly designing a new shoppable lounge that's equal parts inspiration, vintage treasure hunt, and cozy hangout.

And the wait is almost over. The space will officially be open to the public this week.

Here's a little peek at what's been coming together behind the scenes.

Full reveal coming soon.

Sneak peek at my latest staging project.

One of my favourite things is mixing styles, and this project was no exception. We paired a modern home with the client's traditional and antique furnishings, then layered in a few contemporary touches to create a cozy, collected feel.

Can't wait to share the full transformation and before-and-afters. Stay tuned...

Spring, but make it last all year.

I love fresh flowers, but I don’t love how fast they’re done. My faux flower arrangements give you that same soft, just-picked feel… without the wilting.

With Mother’s Day coming up, it’s the perfect gift idea. Something she’ll see and enjoy every day, not just for a week.

If you'd like a custom bouquet or have any questions, DM me.

Moody and collected, with rich wood tones, soft curves, and a beautiful backdrop.

It’s the kind of space that makes you want to sit down and stay a while.

What’s one thing your home office is missing to make it feel inspiring?

If it feels off but you don’t know why, send me a DM, I can usually spot what’s missing right away.

“He has risen, just as He said.”

Goodness always triumphs. God is goodness, He is light, He is love. His goodness is revealed to us every day, but especially today. The resurrection of Jesus is the ultimate demonstration of God’s goodness, affirming His love, justice, faithfulness, and power over sin and death.

It is also a promise, that through faith in Jesus Christ, our sins are forgiven, and we too will overcome death and live in eternity with our Lord and Saviour.

Spring is the perfect time to refresh your space, and it doesn’t have to mean redecorating everything.

Often it’s the small styling changes that make the biggest difference. Swapping in seasonal florals, cheerful textiles, natural textures, and a few unique accent pieces can instantly make a room feel lighter and more inviting.

I’ve added a collection of pieces to that are perfect for a spring refresh. From floral arrangements and sunny kitchen accents to stone catchalls and decorative styling pieces, you’ll find lots of beautiful options to layer into your home.

If you're in Huntsville, stop in and take a look. Most of these pieces are one-of-a-kind finds, so once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Part 9 of Not Just a Pretty Space: this is what happens when you actually apply texture, depth, visual interest, and fix the layout. No reno. No massive shopping spree. Just smarter choices.

If you haven’t watched Part 8 yet, go back and start there, this one will click so much better after.

Tell me below, which change made the biggest impact for you?

And if your room feels “fine but off,” send me a message. I can help you make it work with what you already have.

Texture. Depth. Visual interest.
Should you even care?

YES!!

They’re not just decorator buzzwords, they’re what make a space feel layered, collected, and intentional.

This is Part 8 of Not Just a Pretty Space, where I break it down for you.

Quick points:

Texture:
Mix materials and finishes to give your space a multi-sensory experience.

Depth:
Layer lighting, textiles, decor, and arrange furniture to guide the eye through the space.

Visual Interest:
Small contrasts and unexpected details that keep the space from feeling one-note.

Save this for later, and tell me which one trips you up most.

Something I struggle with, both as a homeowner of an older house and as an interior decorator, is wanting everything renovated and updated all at once.

The reality is, designing, updating, and renovating a home takes time. None of my rooms are “finished” or exactly where I want them to be yet. But when I look back at before and after photos like these (The second photo is the listing photo when we bought the house.), and see how the small changes I’ve made have had such an impact, it genuinely makes me happy.

This space is a perfect example. One of the biggest changes I made aside from a lighter, fresher wall colour and trim was adding curtains. It instantly softened the room, made it feel more cozy and inviting, and helped visually elongate the smaller window for better balance and symmetry. It’s one of those simple, affordable updates that instantly makes a difference.

And this room is still evolving. Since this photo, I’ve updated the coffee table and moved the couch to our basement living room. Now I’m on the hunt for a new sofa for this space, along with the right antique sideboard to anchor the TV wall. Eventually, I'd also like to update the TV to a framed one so it reads more like artwork, while still functioning as our secondary TV.

But here's the thing — homes don’t have to be finished to be enjoyed.

My advice: Don't stress about rushing to finish a room. Focus on making it feel good to live in right now.

Strong spaces start with the fundamentals.

Texture, depth, and visual interest.

I’m breaking down what these decorator terms actually mean and why you should care in Part 8 of my Not Just a Pretty Space series. Stay tuned.
