Mandy's Craft Haven

Seeing a grey tick next to your name on Instagram? Here's what it actually means. 🩶

One: it's not verification, and it's not a shadowban.

Two: it's Instagram's nudge to buy Meta Verified, the paid subscription. Tap it, and you land on a checkout page.

Three: only you can see it. Your followers just see your normal profile.

Four: there is zero evidence it hurts your reach, or stops your followers from growing.

And the colors, by the way: blue means verified, gold means business, and grey on your own screen just means an invitation to subscribe.

So ignore it, keep posting great content, and follow Mandy's Craft Haven for more small business truths.
