We are so excited to share our news!! We can’t wait to have in can tinting for the classic Farrow and Ball paint!!
We are over the moon that are coming to our town to teach amazing decorative finishes using all of the brilliant products we sell plus a couple of new introductions. Since Kathie Jordan Design is a family business I would like you to meet my Mom. She has moved into a retirement home and spends a lot of time knitting and creating!! Here we are at a church rummage sale last Friday. She loves thrifting and I’m sure that has rubbed off on me and my kids. Mom was gifted a bag of yarn by this lovely friend EV Scott who knows how much my Mom loves to knit. Thank you for a great morning out!!

I love to see our customers getting creative with our products!! Look how beautiful her Prairie Sunset door is!! She also painted her metal planter and added transfer to it. We always love sewing for She and choose such gorgeous fabrics This fabric has such a sense of whimsy and personality. Can you find the little foxes running around in there? Their clients are beyond happy. Thank you for trusting us with your vision.

I have a hard time throwing away scraps of fabric. You might say I have a problem but this piece, although not centred, fit perfectly onto my lampshade. Well, not exactly perfectly, I needed to add something to the top and bottom so I painted a bit of Oxford Navy then added the green gimp. I think it is such a huge improvement!! This adds another layer and texture to my sideboard. Keep watching my feed for upcoming workshops!! Lampshades will never be left to their own devices again!! Paint them, decoupage them, just have fun with them however you can visualize!!

Many thanks to the Kitchener Waterloo Women of the Year awards. While I did not win our category I am eternally grateful for my second nomination in the Arts and Culture award. We have spent time with so many inspiring women and appreciate this evening for all that it stands for.

Yesterday I put an oil painting I did several years ago on my table. It is a painting of my neighbours cows. I love it but it just seems so fresh and I wanted it to look a bit more antique. I went over the oil paint with clear top coat sealer then I added Antiquing Glaze. I love how it turned out. It fits the vibe of our old house better than it did before. Now I have my eye on at least one more painting that I can instantly age. It also has me thinking about art that I find thrifting. You can easily add age to it using this method. Give it a try some time!! Happy long weekend!!
