Thank you all for the positive feedback on the new DNI website! I wanted to share with you a bit more about me.
I am the founder, owner, and principal consultant at DNI. I find joy in revitalizing the spaces that mean so much to my clients. My design principles center around authenticity and excellence - bringing decades of experience and a people-first approach to every project. I’ve worked on house-form dwellings, mid- and high-rise dwellings and common areas, retail establishments, commercial offices, and micro-dwellings.
Recently, I decided to launch BBB as a new business venture. While in design school, I made costume jewelry and sold some of my pieces to several fashion designers in Trinidad. I pivoted to a full time career in interior design, but I never lost my passion for jewelry. Over the years, I participated in a few workshops and redesigned small pieces, but it never felt like enough. That led to me buying jewels and natural stone beads, assembling new pieces, and taking apart and reconstructing old gold pieces. I cannot wait to share my work with all of you.
Beyond this work, I am community builder. I support many organizations through fundraising, community organizing and event planning and have volunteered my services to improve the spaces of vulnerable community members. For the past couple years, I served as a managing board director at a local organization and actively supported local public schools.
