⚠️ Potential Scam alert: Someone is using my business phone number to make calls, and I need to make sure everyone is aware.
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been getting a surprising number of calls and messages from people saying they missed a call from me or that they’re returning my call.
Please know that it wasn’t me.
Unfortunately, someone is spoofing my business phone number, which makes it look like the call came from Chunky Glitter Company. I spoke with my phone provider, and they confirmed there’s really nothing they can do to stop someone from using my business name and number with an auto dialer.
If I ever need to contact you about an order, calling you would be my last choice option. If we don’t already have a conversation going on through social media, my first step will almost always be to send you an email. If I do ever need to call, it’s usually because we’ve already been in contact or you’ve asked me to.
I will also never ask for your credit card information over the phone, by email, or through messages. If you ever win a giveaway or prize from Chunky Glitter Company, it’s always something I provide directly at my expense, such as a gift card or prize package. You’ll never be asked to pay a fee or provide payment information to claim it.
I’m so sorry for the confusion and frustration this has caused. I wanted to make everyone aware so you know what to watch for.
