Home offices come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. We understand not everybody has the luxury to dedicate a room in their home for one, so when the space allow you to, you make do. šŸš€ Here are some tips we like to keep in mind to ensure functionality while making it work for everyone.

šŸ“ˆComfort level: your productivity will depend on how comfortable you are. Make it too cozy, and you may end just curling up and taking a nap (NOT speaking from experience, don’t ask)
ā³Low maintenance: when you finish working, the space needs to go back to being a shared space. This means resetting needs to be easy — no permanent fixtures like second screens, monitor stands, etc. You don’t want to spend too much time setting up and tearing down.
🧠Distraction-free: since there’s no dedicated space for a home office, you will eventually get distracted. Minimize this by preparing everything beforehand: charge your devices beforehand, wear noise canceling headphones, and set up lighting as necessary. Don’t forget your glass of water!

Making your space work for you eliminates the mental barrier of putting too much effort into your WFH area, even if you don’t have a permanent one. I guess the only thing better than this would be not working at all. A girl can only dream!

When you’re obsessed with lighting fixtures like we are, every opportunity you get to incorporate it into a client’s space becomes a must. It doesn’t matter if it’s simple and sweet, or if it’s big and bold because it’s not only going to light up the room, but it’s one of your many chances to really dazzle your client (and their future visitors too.)

Our rule of thumb: go grand, then scale back with a couple of more demure options. You never know what they’ll say yes to, so you might as well start with a showstopper. Mix and match sizes, textures, and play around with the number of bulbs to see what will ultimately give that wow factor. Remember if it’s not a spectacle, it’s not worth it!

First impressions matter especially when you’re revealing a new build to a client for the first time. 😌

The sink is intentionally off-centre to add some pizzazz.
The pendant is hanging off to the opposite side, counter-balancing the sink.
The counter’s thickness changes levels to play with height differences, a small but thoughtful touch.
And the backlit mirror is basically giving the wallpaper its own spotlight moment.

Translation: nothing is screaming for attention, but every detail is quietly doing the most. And that, friends, is exactly how good design should work.

Not every client can visualize a space from a floor plan alone… which is exactly why we give them a helping hand! šŸ˜‰

Renderings bridge the gap between concept and reality. Here’s what we showed them:
1ļøāƒ£ a living room so tall it legally became a great room (18’ ceilings, clock it)
2ļøāƒ£ a fireplace wall as the centrepiece carrying the vibe of the living room
3ļøāƒ£ a kitchen designed for the aesthetic, but actually functions as the main dining space. The main kitchen where the real action happens is in another area.

You read that right:
Yes — this island is being used as a dining table. Because why not.
Yes — there’s a hidden spice kitchen behind this. So is the pantry.
And yes — there are enough appliances in this house to survive a minor apocalypse.
We love a house that looks calm but has operational layers.

If the sky was the limit, what features would you have in your ✨dream✨ bathroom? Exotic plants? Custom artwork? Imported tiles? Maybe all of the above and more.

Now take it a step further. What would actually change how you feel in the space every single day? Heated floors that make early mornings just a smidge more tolerable? A perfectly placed skylight that does half the mood-setting for you? Stylish storage that quietly hides the chaos so your countertops can stay looking like that? Wouldn’t you love to see it. 😌 This is where good design stops being about ā€œnice thingsā€ and starts being about intentional choices. Because a dream bathroom isn’t just about what you add—it’s about what you never have to think about again. And that’s the real luxury: a space that works so well, it feels effortless.

But then again, we can all use more budget to really get that boujee bathroom. Who’s with us?

This is your reminder that rest doesn’t have to be earned the hard way. Sometimes it looks like climbing back into bed with a tray, a newspaper, and ten (or fifteen) minutes where nobody needs anything from you. It’s simple, but it feels a bit like luxury when your day-to-day is anything but quiet. For a lot of moms, ā€œme timeā€ is usually squeezed in between everything else—so moments like this deserve to be stretched out just a little longer. This Mother’s Day weekend, we’re fully on board with slowing things down and letting someone else take care of the details. Preferably with coffee and a croissant included. ā˜•ļøšŸ„

As much as working from your bed is comfortable, dedicating an area for work/study is always going to result in higher productivity. A space that puts you into hustle mode will more likely prevent distractions so you can be heads down on getting s*** done. With good lighting to keep the energy up and shelves, storage, and cabinets to control clutter, you’ll be in the zone and back to relaxing faster than you think. You’ve got shows to binge, who wants to work longer than they have to?

Can you believe it’s almost May? Because why does stepping outside suddenly feel like a personality trait again. 🫣 One second you’re answering emails, the next you’re fully just sitting there, face to the sun, rethinking your entire life (in a good way). Working outside is technically the plan… but the vibe is doing most of the heavy lifting. We’re not saying we’re more productive, we’re just saying we’re happier.

If a powder room feels forgettable, it’s not because it has to be, it’s because we’ve been taught to keep it that way. But small spaces don’t need small ideas. šŸš€ This is where you experiment, where you lean into something a little unexpected, where you let design feel a bit more fearless. Each of these rooms have their own vibe and none of them apologize for it. The result? Spaces that people actually remember. Imagine visiting a friend’s home, walking into their powder room, and seeing one of these rooms. That’ll be the highlight of your visit, guaranteed.

After the week we’ve had, weekends like today are made for catching up with shows and movies. The ā€œjust one more episodeā€ kind that somehow turns into three. Relaxing on a couch like this and setting Do Not Disturb ā›”ļø on our phones after a long week is what we needed. No emails, no tasks, just ā€œPlay Next Episodeā€. ā–¶ļø Can’t forget the aperol spritz.

Which show are you currently binging? šŸ‘‡ We just finished The Pitt!
