Kitchen Transformation! ✨
I am so excited to share these 3D renderings for a incredibly special project! Working on historical homes is always a beautiful balancing act of preserving character while introducing modern functionality.
For this kitchen, our homeowners had a fantastic wish list, and they’ve been working so hard to help bring it to life (wait until you see the brick!). This was the first option presented to them. Wait until you see the final..

Better Flow: We are opening things up by adding a second doorway into the dining room, making the layout feel seamless.
The Island: Instead of a standard island, we are repurposing the client's gorgeous antique table to serve as the room's centerpiece.
Letting the Light In: We removed one small window, but we are adding a massive garden door that will flood the room with natural light.
Exposed History: The homeowners rolled up their sleeves and exposed the original brick on the back of the fireplace. It is going to be an incredible focal point!
Smart Solutions: To maximize storage, we relocated the sink to the opposite wall, creating a brand-new run of cabinetry. We also decreased the height of that window just enough to perfectly accommodate the new counter height.
Look Up! The ceiling is going to be another major feature. We designed it to show off the gorgeous room height while cleverly concealing some upper-level plumbing challenges.
A huge shoutout to these amazing clients for their vision and hard work. This mix of old-world charm and modern function is going to be spectacular.

Sitting room turned into a Kitchen
Kitchen turned into a Butler’s Pantry

This was one of my favourite 3-D renderings of a Heritage home. By relocating the kitchen, we created a significantly larger kitchen by repurposing the adjacent sitting room. The old kitchen would be repurposed into a Butler’s pantry. Historically, kitchens were often tucked away, but modern design prioritizes flow and visibility, making the relocation of the kitchen a sensible decision.
