Reusable Dryer Sheets

Glass mason Jar and lid
Cut up cloth (old t-shirt works well)
Vinegar
Essential oil

Fill 1”-1.5” of vinegar in bottom of jar
Put in 12-20 drops of favorite essential oil scent
Give it a good shake
Drop in your rags
Toss one in each dryer load

Note: do not use those or any vinegar with a load that a whitening detergent has been used. Works great with my homemade detergent which can be found on Attic Floor Arts page.

I’ve been using this laundry detergent for years now and think it’s just as good as store bought except much cheaper and better for the environment. Here’s the recipe if you want to give it a try. I also make my own dryer sheets which I can share next.

Laundry Detergent Recipe

Large container for mixing
16 cups water
1/4 cup washing soda
1/4 cup baking soda
1/3 cup Castile soap (Dr. Bronner’s)
Essential oil for scent (optional)

Mix well, I used my emulsive blender. Then I put in two very large mason jars with spout lid. Ps. The mix does settle and separate but a quick shake before pouring in liquid detergent tray, works just as good as store bought detergent.

Save money, save planet.

I’m still in shock at how quickly I was able to crochet this end of bed throw. Took approx one week of only an hour or so per day. It was so satisfying and when it was done I thought….this would make a perfect floor baby blanket because of its soft and cushy nature.
