Such a fun workshop today at the Innisfil Public Library! The Tweens did great!! 👍 They learned 2 new macrame knots and ate a lot of chocolate! 😅Lol (the librarian sugared them up - not me! Lol)

➰️Macrame cord thickness is measured in millimeters.
The higher the number, the thicker the Cord.

When you see options like 1mm, 2mm, 3mm etc. Be sure to choose a thickness that makes sense for your project 👍

✨️For smaller, more intricate designs choose 1mm or 2mm.

✨️I always stock up on 3mm, 4mm and 5mm as they are the most versatile and easy to work with for beginners. Great for wall hangings, plant hangers, you name it.

✨️Thicker cord 6mm and up are meant for those large chunky statement pieces or for macrame rainbows (the thicker rope gets wrapped with colours).

📢🚨When following a pattern be sure to use the size it calls for so you dont run out of cord/have too much and so the overall dimensions and look are what you want it to be (as shown in the pattern).
