It's finally time to announce the grand prize winner of the challenge! Nearly 50 projects were completed since we opened the challenge in June and we can breathe a huge sigh of relief knowing that there are fewer UFOs hiding in sewing rooms and fabric bins everywhere.👽

The winner of this fabulous prize, valued at $300 and including our favourite new notions, handy storage containers, and a QP gift card, is Elise Gagnier! 🥳

Keep an eye out for those ever-multiplying UFOs - the challenge will return next year to continue our investigation and vanquish these UFOs once and for all (or at least for a month or two)! 😉

Here's another finish from the challenge to tide you over before our grand prize announcement! 😁

Cathy's Log Cabin quilt is made using blocks from a block exchange. A fabulous floral border ties it all together, and smaller log cabin blocks anchor the corners. Beautifully done, Cathy! 😍

We were really on the ball posting photos after marking them complete in the challenge (and our apologies to their creators for all the late posts)! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Cathy created this fabulous Green Picnic quilt using a Jolly Bar precut. Half-square triangles create a variety of blocks with the top, and corner accents in the same fabrics add the perfect finishing touch without taking away from the center star. Awesome work, Cathy! 🌟

In all the excitement of launching the challenge we missed posting a finished quilt! 😱

Barb's Murano quilt is a fabulous example of showing off a variety of "busy" fabrics in reds, oranges, and blues, all in one top. 😍 A pieced border in the same fabrics extends the blocks to the edges, and quilting done by Elke at Aloha Quilting is the cherry on top! Excellent work, Barb! 🥳

While we anticipate the grand prize draw we have some more finished quilts for the challenge to show off! 🤗

Cristina designed and pieced this glorious bear paw quilt as an anniversary gift. 😍 Her mix of subtle blues and browns mixed with pops of lavender, green, and red is a modern twist on a traditional block, and a bright blue binding frames it beautifully. Bravo, Cristina! 👏
