Jacob made this beautiful wood tray in shop class. He wanted to give it to his beloved Grandma for Christmas and he asked me to paint it for her.
This is a lullaby that she’s been singing to her own kids (and to mine) since they were born.
It was made with love from beginning to end 🩷

EDNA O’BRIEN, RIP
"Suddenly death is happening everywhere and so much faster than ever before. The rest of us are unable to do anything but survive. Thank you, Edna O'Brien. You gave me the sudden urge to write something down. You took the lead. You knew it had to be said."
