🍁 Where can you find Frost & Maple? Apparently… all over Canada. 🇨🇦

One of the things we’re incredibly proud of is seeing our ornaments make their way into beautiful independent shops, boutiques and galleries across the country.

But you may have noticed something a little unusual:

We don’t publish a list of our stockists.

That’s intentional.

Years ago, we made the decision that when a shop chooses to carry Frost & Maple, their customers should remain their customers.

We white-label the products we sell through our retail partners — which means you won’t find our website, social media handles or anything directing their customers back to us on the packaging.

Why?

Because small businesses supporting small businesses should actually mean something. ❤️

Our retail partners have invested in their shops, built relationships with their customers and chosen our work for their shelves. We never want someone to discover us in one of those stores, then go home and buy directly from us instead.

So while we absolutely love knowing Frost & Maple can be found from coast to coast, we’ll happily keep exactly where our little maple leaves are hiding a bit of a secret. 😉

If you discover one in your favourite local shop, know that by purchasing it there, you’re supporting two Canadian small businesses at once. 🇨🇦🍁

🍁 Made in Canada means something to us.

One of the things I’m incredibly proud of at Frost & Maple is just how close to home our ornaments begin.

Our wood comes from Western Quebec. Our adhesive comes from Brockville. Our acrylic, printing and packaging are sourced here in Ontario. And every Frost & Maple ornament is designed and made by us in Kingston. 🇨🇦

Are absolutely every single one of our materials Canadian? No — and I think being transparent about that matters too. Our ribbon comes from France, our production masking from Germany, and the equipment we use to create our pieces was made in Austria.

But whenever we have the choice, we choose Canadian.

That means supporting other Canadian businesses, Canadian suppliers and Canadian jobs — many of them small businesses just like ours.

So when you purchase a Frost & Maple ornament, your dollars don't stop with us. They travel to businesses and communities across Canada.

And that’s something we’re pretty darn proud of. ❤️🍁

🇨🇦 Why We Don’t Ship to the U.S.

About 18 months ago, Frost & Maple made the difficult decision to stop shipping our products to the United States.

As a very small Canadian business, the constantly changing tariffs, fees and rules had simply become too difficult for us to navigate.

Our ornaments are proudly made here in Canada using Canadian wood, and with the exception of the taffeta ribbon we use to hang them, all of our materials are sourced from Canadian suppliers. 🍁

Choosing to stop shipping to the U.S. has hurt our business. We had wonderful American customers, and we miss being able to send our ornaments across the border.

But we also know that we are just one tiny piece of a much bigger story.

Canadian small businesses have lost customers. American customers have lost access to Canadian products and makers they love. And small businesses on both sides of the border have been left trying to navigate the uncertainty.

And now we wait to see whether the U.S. will impose a 50% tariff on Christmas ornaments, hockey sticks, and honey — just three examples of products with deep Canadian roots, made and sold by many small Canadian businesses, that could be hit by this new round of tariffs.

Whatever happens next, our choice remains the same.

We believe in supporting Canadian suppliers.
We believe in making our products here.
We believe in supporting Canadian small businesses.

And while we wait to see what happens, we will continue to stand behind Canada and Canadians. 🇨🇦

Our Little Windows will continue to be made in Canada, with Canadian wood, for our Canadian customers.

And we are incredibly grateful to every one of you who chooses to shop small and shop Canadian. ❤️🍁

But we hope to share again with our American friends very soon!
