Trying hard not to buy lots of material this year. I think I have enough for about 30 years of sewing. And 3 full scrap bins. This new quilt is out of my green and teal scraps. I did take 10 2 inch pieces off some non scraps. But mostly scraps should be fun. I need 108 blocks. I now have 4 done. Picture just 2 of them.

We finished the rose. Now the question is what do I do with it? It is only 60x72, which is a couch quilt size, but to see the rose it needs to be spread out in a bed. To make it queen size I need to add 15 inches on each side to get 90x100. I have lots of some colours, but not all. Any ideas? I could add the darker reds, or the light and dark green. I think cause the beauty is the rose plan is better. Also have lots of white

I finished sewing the scrap quilt, and it is ready for quilting. I still need to move some furniture into the sewing room before I get to that, so I started something very different from anything I have ever tried. It's a pixelated picture of a rose. Each row has 6 sets of blocks, and I draw a line across the picture when I finish a row. I have 2 out of 6 rows done. I used pinks instead of yellow because I'm still trying to use up scraps and I had more pinks and very little yellow.

Been a long time since I posted but I am back at the sewing machine again. I thought it might be good to do a quilt out...

Been a long time since I posted but I am back at the sewing machine again. I thought it might be good to do a quilt out of scraps. I have 2 bins of scraps! So I put together 40 blocks out of the 48 I will need and the sad part is the 2 bins of scraps are just as full!
So her is a picture of what I had done so far and the scrap bins. I wish I had taken a picture when I started but the bins have not emptied at all!
