September is almost upon us and I have a few openings for projects this fall.

Spain reminded me that timeless design is built on simple ideas repeated beautifully.

Rhythm. Texture. Light. Expression. Spaces that feel connected to their surroundings.

These are the details that caught my eye and the design lessons I’ll be bringing home to inspire future projects.

Rhythm
Repeating balconies, windows and shadows create a quiet sense of order without feeling predictable.

Texture
Pebble mosaics, brick, stone and plaster prove that texture can be just as impactful as colour.

Courtyards
Some of the most inviting spaces aren’t inside the home. They’re tucked away quietly at its heart.

Light
The streets themselves are designed for the sunlight, creating shade, contrast, and changing patterns throughout the day.

Expression
Design doesn’t have to be restrained to feel timeless. More Modernist inspiration still to come…

Perspective
A simple arch can transform an ordinary view into a destination by guiding your eye exactly where it should go.

Timeless
The best design feels like it belongs exactly where it stands, no matter how many years pass.

I’m back from a trip through Portugal and Spain…and I’m completely inspired!

Whenever I travel, I find myself looking past the landmarks and into the details. I love finding weathered doors, centuries-old stonework, handcrafted tile, beautiful proportions, and textures that tell a story.

While most people fill their camera roll with vacation photos, mine fills up with design inspiration.

Over the next little while, I’m sharing some of the details that stopped me in my tracks and the design lessons I’m bringing home with me.

Great design isn’t just found in showrooms. Sometimes it’s waiting down a quiet street or behind a beautifully aged door.

People often only see the final reveal of a project, but every finished space is backed by countless decisions, revisions, site visits, measurements, samples, problem solving moments and tiny details that all come together over time.

From the initial consultation to space planning, budgeting, selecting finishes, construction walkthroughs and final styling…so much care goes into creating a home that not only looks beautiful, but truly works for the people living in it.

Design is never just about picking pretty things. It’s about creating spaces that feel personal, functional and lived in.

Nothing makes me happier than designing a space that feels so you! 🎀🩰🌸

This one was extra special! Eleven-year-old Olivia came to me wanting her room to feel bigger and more “her,” with space to breathe but still full of the things she loves: dance, bows, and flowers.

We started with the sweetest wallpaper (see the last slide!) from that tied it all together, then worked around pieces she already had to maximize every inch of her 11x10 room.

Proof that you don’t need a huge space (or all new furniture) to create something really special!
