I had a very exciting afternoon visiting Lendrum Spinning Wheels and picking up a new wheel. I opted for the plying head as this wheel will be filling the role of my old Fomotor Peacock which is really showing its age. Have you ever wanted to try a medieval style spindle? Well I have a special treat for the Ironwood Fantasy Fair, hand made clay spindles from the inimitable Forager Bee! Choose a stick or two and the whorl of your choice! The One Whorls and and disk whorls also allow the spindles to work as supported spindles; two techniques in one tool!
