A few random snippets from the end of summer 📷.

I’ve been trying to slow down enough to actually enjoy the season without ever really stepping away. Fall is steadily creeping in though; projects on the horizon, organizing processes, quarterly taxes 🤢, the usual list that never really stops

Personally, life has seen a lot of pickleball and pilates, making time for friends, and just getting outside while the weather still lets me. I’m trying not to take that part for granted before the leaves turn and the temperatures begin to drop.🍂

More updates from the studio are on the way, including what’s been happening at Highland Lodge in Northumberland County!

One year ago today, I put a sign in my front yard and bet everything on this business.

Wellington House is eight years old. But I am celebrating this past year as it became my full time job.

I’ve spent most of this year learning how to juggle more than I ever expected. Also learning that I disappear when I’m overwhelmed. Fortunately, therapy helped me see it. Saying yes to more things (pilates, pickleball, lunch dates, posting on social media) is helping me find my way back.

This year I landed the cover of Our Homes, which still doesn’t feel real. I’ve had clients trust me with their entire home instead of just one room. Gillian joined the team. Cody has shown up for me every single day. Major wins!

And then there’s you. The reviews, the comments, the referrals, the merch sightings in the wild. I see it and want to thank you for your support! 🙏

One year in and I’m still figuring it out. Not every day is easy, but it’s definitely worth it.

There’s more I haven’t shared yet. Might be time.😉

I’m going to get some flack for this…

I’ve designed ONE Taj Mahal kitchen in my career. And that’s all I need.

I see a crazy amount of Taj Mahal projects everyday. It’s commonly paired with White Oak, Walnut, and beige painted cabinetry. Clients see it constantly online and they think they need it. Thus perpetuating the cycle.

Am I being dramatic? Oh probably. Do I care? Not even a little.
