This was our last Chef’s Tasting of 2026, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish the year.

There are some evenings that remind us exactly why we do what we do.

Last night’s Chef’s Tasting was one of them.

Six courses, carefully prepared and served one by one, each telling its own story through seasonal ingredients, thoughtful techniques, and a little creativity from our kitchen. Seeing every table slow down, share conversations, and enjoy each course together is what these nights are all about.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and trusted us with your evening. Your support allows us to keep creating experiences that go beyond dinner.

Five-spiced roasted duck breast, rich and beautifully seared, balanced with crushed edamame and mint purée, braised radish, sugar peas, rhubarb, and wild honey gastrique. Sweet, savoury, fresh, and a little unexpected—exactly the kind of dish we love creating at Rare.

Some milestones deserve more than a celebration—they deserve to become a memory you'll carry forever.

This week was especially meaningful for our Rare family as we celebrated Chef Andrew's parents on their 50th wedding anniversary.

Fifty years of love. Fifty years of choosing each other. Countless meals shared, stories told, and memories made around the table.

It was an honour to be part of such a beautiful chapter in their journey, and a reminder that some of life's greatest moments happen when the people you love gather together.

Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, birthday, engagement, retirement, or simply the people who matter most, we'd be honoured to help create an evening that's just as memorable.
